Rehabilitation and Mobility Sciences
Again, the Centre has Developed Professional Courses in Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) and rehabilitation sciences. The courses are also to boost up the skills for the professionals in Rehabilitation sciences to provide the required services including designing and manufacturing of rehabilitation assistive devices in the context of African environment and resources. This implies that the expected devices should be affordable, durable and cost-effective for the users. In addition, the Centre is supporting the University of Rwanda’s programme of Prosthetics and Orthotics to strengthen in terms of human resources, to eventually develop a BSc programme in P&O, and for the future sustainability of the programme with high skills.
The rehabilitation professional courses that have been developed will be delivered by expert from the outstanding University, for example the Strathclyde in UK.
