The University of Rwanda (UR) recognizes its functions of teaching and learning, research and community service. An essential part of its outreach to the community and its contribution to national development, and as a key strategy to enhance the impact of teaching and research, UR has developed a Consultancy Policy. Consultancy is an important channel through which knowledge and expertise are shared, and productive relationships with government, NGOs and the private sector are forged.
In line with vision and mission of the University, the management of UR has developed the Directorate of Consultancy with the mandate to coordinate consultancy services and expertise in the University through its Colleges.

UR’s Consultancy Policy was approved by the Board of Governors’ meeting of 18th April 2016. The Consultancy Unit has its main office at UR headquarters and to ease the access to services by different stakeholders, and to facilitate staff engaging in consultancy activities, the Unit is represented in the Colleges.

The University of Rwanda is made up of six Colleges: Arts and Social Sciences (CASS), Science and Technology (CST), Business and Economics (CBE), Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), Education (CE), Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences (CAVM). Details of examples of consultancies and of the areas of expertise can be found on the College webpages.
We invite you to engage with us.
